Vinnie's Visit - Part 1

I have a lot of updates from this weekend. On Thursday Vinnie and Jordan flew into San Diego for vacation. After work I drove down and picked Vinnie up from the city and Jordan stayed with friends that she has out here. On Friday Derek worked so the two of us went to Balboa Park. We saw the same things from my last trip there, but this time the rose garden was in bloom, there were so many varieties and they were all so beautiful.We also discovered archery targets in Balboa Park. I kind want to get a bow and arrow now, not like a Ted Nugent high tech deal , but maybe one like you learned with as a kid at summer camp. After the park we decided to grab a bite to eat. We decided to go to Old Town and grab some authentic Southern California Mexican food. It is a neat little town that is exactly what you might expect from the name. It looks like a little Mexican town and they have tons of restaurants and trinket sellers. We got some combination platters, but we both got some fish tacos with them and they were yummy.Friday night was pretty quiet. Vinnie had a long flight and was pretty tired and Derek was worn out after work so were watched a movie and all went to bed. I have plenty more to share from the weekend and will add more updates soon.
