Farewell Cali

Well it is official, we have left California. We just drove to Henderson, NV and will stay the night here so that we can wake up and see the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon tomorrow. I am excited to get home, but also sad. I will miss my friends and coworkers as well as the "local" spots we hung out at. I will miss discovering new things about California and seeing the mountains and the ocean every time I left the house. I will not miss the fact that California has more than their fair share of oblivious and rude individuals. True, they can be found across the world, but I have never had so many people not hold a door for me.

I am so glad to have had the opportunity and I am so grateful to everyone who has in anyway enriched the past year. I was thrilled to have been able to share our home with so many friends and family and look forward to seeing them all in a few days. I started the blog to share our trip to California and now I am deciding if it should keep going or if we should start the next chapter at a new address. Either way I am excited to look back at the old entries and relive all the wonderful times we have had this past year.
